IT IS SURPRISING THAT PRACHT, AS A LIGHTING EXPERT, OFFERS A WALLBOX. WHAT MADE YOU DECIDE TO GET INTO ELECTRO MOBILITY?
Jonathan Pracht: “PRACHT stands for enthusiasm for innovative technologies that bring sustainable change. In the field of lighting, this applies to LEDs as well as many other sustainable product solutions suitable for industry – and now also to the topic of charging columns in the field of e-mobility. With our expertise in the field of electrical engineering and our production site in Germany, we see the ideal conditions for making our contribution to the mobility revolution and the development of the charging infrastructure. We were particularly pleased with the level of positive response from our wholesalers to the PRACHT ALPHA, our current wallbox.”
IN YOUR OPINION, WHAT CAN PRACHT DO BETTER THAN OTHER MANUFACTURERS?
Jonathan Pracht: “For four generations our company principle is to translate very complex topics into concrete solutions in a simple, understandable and competent way. “In a very fast growing and confusing market with a large number of different charging solutions the name PRACHT has stood for reliability, high quality, safety and honest simplicity. And this is exactly where the PRACHT product strategy in the field of charging infrastructure comes in: Simple and understandable solutions that are uncomplicated to install, with which you can do one thing above all: Simply. HOW DO YOU SEE THE DEVELOPMENT OF E-MOBILITY?
Jonathan Pracht: “We see e-mobility as a key technology of the future. A future that has already begun. It is now crucial to remove barriers to access. To terminate this, the charging infrastructure must be expanded as quickly as possible. Electric charging should be possible for everyone. That’s what our wallbox Alpha stands for, by the way. We offer solutions that make the vision of a nationwide charging infrastructure feasible. This can only be achieved with simple, safe and future-proof charging installations that are Made in Germany, available and, above all, attractively priced.”
WHY DID THEY PUT SO MUCH EMPHASIS ON TWO CHARGING POINTS IN ONE BOX DURING DEVELOPMENT?
Jonathan Pracht: “The PRACHT ALPHA operates with only one supply line, but offers two charging points at the same time. This is a technically complex issue. It would have been much easier to develop a charging station with only one charging point. However, one must not forget that the demand for the respective charging points will increase quickly! Installing a second single box later costs unnecessary space, installation effort and may cause problems with the load management.
